Got my license and work life

Yay I'm now a registered physician! Exam was easier than expected actually. And all NTU students got Day 1 for the oral exam which was much easier than Day 2. Our passing rate last year was 85% while SCTCM's passing rate was only 60 plus % for the full time students. Crazy big difference. I'm really interested to know the passing rate for their Day 1 students though. Anyway so that's that. Moving on... I started working at my full time job on the 2nd of Jan. So it's been almost a month. And I'm also cramming in 2 other adhoc jobs. The clinic job is chill but the MRT job is a little shag since I have to wake up really early and walk 25min to the MRT. (The air is so good tho! Good start to the day.) On top of that I cook my meals every day. The adhoc jobs are only gonna last till Amit comes to live with me though. Cuz I want to have proper work life balance when we're together. My main job has been really good to me so far. I have quite a lot of freedom at...

Ginkgo Nut

I don't really like ginkgo nuts but it's always in the fuzhuk we eat (yum) so I just eat it haha. Yum I love fuzhuk. There's barley and beancurd skin and of course those ginkgo nuts. Sweet (甘) Bitter (苦) Astringent (涩) - constricts, thus diminishes discharges (mucus) Neutral ( 性平) Mildly toxic to adults, toxic to children. Lung Meridian Alleviates asthma Alleviates diarrhea Kidney Meridian Maybe that's why people say they're good for your brain. Rids water retention Painkiller, calms the mind ~TTFN~

Almond drink

Decided to read up during the hols on the herbal stuff I drink/eat so here's the first post! This is Fritillaria, found in the cold "Almond Fritillaria shake" I had for tea. The words sound kinda funny, but it tastes okay lah. Too thin for my liking actually. (And creamer:/) Haven't been able to find the really thick kind I used to drink ): *I don't have any of the symptoms below, I just like to try almond drinks.* Clinical Usage and Indications- Fritillaria | 川贝母 Clears heat, transforms phlegm, stops many types of cough (chronic, yin-deficient, difficult to expectorate phlegm, blood streaked sputum *mucus from the lower airways*); best for cough with stifling sensation in the chest and upper abdomen (constrained qi). Clears heat, dissipates nodules due to heat - sores, swellings, scrofula, lung or breast abscess. Seems like it's for ppl with a heaty cough, lots of phlegm and lack of breath.
