today

woke up with a bad start. Was feeling really horrible so after lunch I went to sleep until 3.30 (woke up at 11.). Then went for violin lessons. everytime i practise he doesn't let me play but every time I don't practise he makes me play. Weird. Next time dun practise then can play play and play! hahahahaha...nah but it doesn't make sense. If i wanna play more then i should play at home since lessons only last for 1.5hrs. Actually I mean that I only get to play first part of the piece. Time is irrelevant here...but still it's better to practise cos i still get to play the whole piece many times at home instead of the just 1 time there. Then I took the bus home. The bus sounded like a chinese restaurant. deep voices and sudden peaks in volume. a little laughter now and then.

I am NOT satisfied with my results. but what can i do? And I hav a lame excuse: Competitions. So what? Other ppl hav competitions. They hav loads of practice too. And I know the kind of mood that we all hav during comp period. It makes u wanna play. But they've done pretty well. What is the use of all these exams? Right after it everything's forgotten. Exams should be an assessment of how much u rmb. But that's taken care of alr by the pop quizes. NONONO they aren't. Pop isn't Pop here. Pop here means exam. Cos exam here means u can study for it. Life isn't like this is it? Life is FULL of surprises. That's y u notice sgppl cannot compare with sgscholars and foreigners? We cannot blame ourselves for having the lack of that smth. it's the way we're studying for everything.

for instance: How do u clean a test tube with some white substance stuck to the bottom and u can't wash it out with water or scrub it out with the brush that's given?

Ponder: what's that white substance?

It's funny when teachers get angry not knowing how to get it out. hehehe...

Oh ytd I ate some black pepper beef with onions too. Super duper tender...omg i wish i can eat it again...but J's plate of beef was nicer. dunno y it's softer. but both are as good. LOL what's the difference hehe how come i'm so particular abt such teeny details? Whoa almost thought I wouldn't be able to meet J last night. Whoa can't believe I reached home b4 P and M did. Then did a little work and fell asleep. Panel discussions are cool...but I wish there were cooler arguments for our topic.

Debrief and closure:p I've gotta do 3 things: translation essay, math and chinese essay. should i write my translation article in english or chinese? I've gotta dig out my QINE ws and make my parents sign the PTM letter. Last PTM was funny. Hilarious.
